The OEM oil pickup tube in the BRZ/FR-S/86 has much room for improvement. Starting with the pickup screen. The design in the pickup screen appears to be brittle, and can easily pop the wire strands with little effort. The other issue is the pinch bend in the OEM tube design which can cause oil restrictions.Ā
The Killer B Motorsport relieves these two design flaws by designing a much stronger oil pickup tube that has no bends. This allows for an unobstructed flow path for the oil to lubricate the engine. Furthermore, the screen in the design has a 31% improvement in the flow to further reduce the restriction. The Killer B Oil Pickup has been TIG-welded by hand and it has been built to last.Ā
