This is the PERRIN Performance Alternator Pulley. This is a lighter alternative designed to reduce the overall rotational mass for an improved engine response. Additionally, the OEM clutch-style alternator pullies are known for failure which can lead to knocking noises, battery charging issues, as well as belt wear. The PERRIN unit eliminates these potential failure culprits.
